Stone cottage with tile roof surrounded by green hills with sea view in Abruzzo

Hideaway Vista Mare

This is Hideaway Vista Mare. Our little stone cottage surrounded by hills and with sea view. We, Sergio (Italian) & Nina (Dutch) bought this cozy place in the region where Sergio was born, Abruzzo. We spend time here with our daughter Nanou for a few weeks a year. The rest of the year the cottage is available for you.

Cozy living room with stone wall, wooden beams, fireplace and colorful furniture

The House

At the end of a small road you will find the cottage. It is +/- 60m2 and has a living room with an open kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, a covered stone patio and a big piece of land with some olive and fruit trees. The view is great and there are almost no other houses visible, which gives you complete privacy. The house has all the amenities you need and fast wifi.

The Area

The house is situated in Rocca San Giovanni, a small village close to the Trabocchi coast. The village has a nice restaurant, pizzeria, an ‘alimentari’ with the best pizza you can find and a pharmacy. The beach is a 13-minute drive and the mountains are about 30 minutes by car. Abruzzo has a lot to offer: beaches, mountains, hilltop villages, skiing, wine, olive oil, the famous ‘arrosticini’ (lamb skewers) and the trabocchi (wooden constructions in the sea used to catch fish and where you now can book extensive lunches and dinners).

Explore & Relax

You will for sure find something you’ll like or you can just relax in the hammock at the house. Abruzzo is not (yet) overcrowded with tourists so you can really experience the genuine way of life there.
